Mumbai Local ("the app") is a free, offline Mumbai suburban railway timetable app published by Shubh Pranamya. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

The app does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email, phone number, or precise location. The train timetable is bundled inside the app and works fully offline.

• Saved favourites and settings are stored only on your device and are never sent to us or anyone else.
• Advertising and analytics. The app uses the third-party services listed below, which automatically collect device information such as your advertising identifier, IP address (from which an approximate, city-level location may be inferred), and app-usage events, including that a route search was performed and the origin and destination stations searched. This is used to show ads and to measure how the app is used and how ad campaigns perform. That processing is done by those third parties, and we do not ourselves receive your personal data.

Third-party services

• Google AdMob (advertising) shows the banner ads in the app.
• Google Analytics for Firebase (analytics and ad measurement) measures app usage and installs, and attributes installs from Google Ads.
• Meta (Facebook) SDK (ad measurement) measures and attributes installs from Meta ad campaigns.

You can reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time from your device settings (Settings, Google, Ads on Android).

Data sharing and sale

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not ourselves receive personal data from you. The advertising identifier, IP-derived approximate location, and app-usage events described above are collected by, and shared with, Google and Meta as our advertising and analytics providers, who process that data under their own policies linked above. All such data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.

Children

The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention and deletion

Favourites and settings live only on your device; uninstalling the app removes them. For data held by the third parties above, please refer to their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
